Service Information

Data on commercial entities from the Western Balkans is now available on the regional joint registry platform – BIFIDEX.

The Western Balkans Regional Business Registry platform, BIFIDEX, of which the National Business Center’s commercial registry is also a member, is now fully operational and ready for use.

The platform, BIFIDEX.com, is a regional tool for analyzing the commercial and financial data of companies from the Western Balkans and provides access to statutory and financial information for approximately 1.5 million companies and individuals from the official registries of Albania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republika Srpska).

The platform enables users to analyze the entire regional market by industry and its financial indicators, as well as to compare the financial performance of different companies. It also provides comprehensive information on related companies and branches across the region.

The publicly available data, easily accessible from the official registries, is obtained in real-time through direct searches in the official registry databases. This data is available in all official languages, as well as in English. Financial analyses are available in all local currencies and in euros.

BIFIDEX notifies interested users whenever there is a change in data concerning companies, their owners, or administrators in the official registries.

Searches for companies and individuals are free of charge, and each newly registered BIFIDEX user receives a free annual promotional subscription to use a limited number of services. After the promotional subscription expires, users can subscribe to several commercial plans starting from €60.

BIFIDEX has been developed since 2017 as a regional initiative by the business registries, aiming to increase transparency, legal security, and facilitate business operations in the broader Western Balkan market. This initiative is supported by all the governments of the participating registries and has been developed and funded with support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the UK’s Good Governance Fund.
