THE NVE CODE

At the National Business Center, all operations/services are carried out online through the government portal e-albania. The applicant, through the electronic application, fills out the necessary data for initial registration (to obtain the NIPT) or for changes to registered information (for entities that already have a NIPT).

According to the “Business Registration Law,” as amended, the application data is categorized into mandatory and voluntary information.

The mandatory data category includes Section D, titled “MANDATORY DECLARATIONS FOR TAX, SOCIAL SECURITY/HEALTH INSURANCE, AND LABOR PURPOSES,” where the NVE Code (Economic Activities Nomenclature) is also included.

The applicant determines the NVE Code, also referred to as the economic code, based on the type of activity the entity declares it will engage in. These declarations are made at the applicant’s discretion and according to their needs.

The NVE Code represents the summarized field of all the activities the entity intends to pursue. When entities choose to have a broad range of activities that cover various sectors, they are required to select the primary NVE Code that corresponds to the main activity they will carry out.

For entities that have not selected the correct NVE Code at the time of registration, we kindly request that they submit the appropriate application to update the NVE Code to reflect the business activity being conducted by the entity.
